your own skills and spend time talking with
children as part of our volunteer team. Our
Connecting Generations classes are designed for
primary school children and adult volunteers to
spend time together with learning knitting or
crochet as the focus in the group. These
workshops break down barriers in the community by
bringing people together at local schools. As a
volunteer you will support the children as they
start to learn the very basics of knitting or
crochet. These special moments are very important
as you will interact with the children and get to
know them and you will be working alongside other
adult volunteers and staff members. You do not
need any previous experience however you must be
able to knit or crochet at a basic level, be
helpful, enthusiastic, possess good interpersonal
skills, be patient, have a good sense of humour
and really enjoy spending time with children.
