Environmental Services Overview
The Glasgow East Environment Team (GEET) has been established to develop environmental initiatives and deliver environmental works on a contractual basis.In terms of environmental improvements we will develop and deliver environmental schemes and initiatives through partnership working and consultation with community groups, housing providers, businesses and other social organisations that lead to beneficial environmental improvements across the East Glasgow area.The main focus of this team will be:
Conservation & Heritage: To protect and enhance the natural and built environment of the community through the promotion of sustainable management of the areas natural assets.
Waste Management & Recycling: To contribute to the sustainable development of the community by assisting local organisations and businesses to develop waste management systems.
Open Space and Recreation: To assist the community and partner organisations in the development of quality open space and recreation within a safe and cohesive structure.
Education & Employment: To improve and promote environmental education and as a result increase opportunities for employment in the field of environment.
Geet is well placed in the community to deliver environmental works on a contractual basis for housing associations and commercial organisations by providing services such as:
- Landscape Maintenance Services
- Landscape Design
- Other Environmental Maintenance Works
