Property Management
Westwood Business Centre
Originally part of Westwood Secondary School, the Centre was completely transformed into a modern Business Centre in 1996. 24 high quality, fully serviced and managed offices, with generously equipped conference and meeting rooms, and a restaurant were made available to a mixture of small to medium enterprises and social economy organisations.
Such was the success of the location and facilities that 100% occupancy was reached during the Millennium and an 11 office extension to the Centre was completed two years later, thanks to generous funding support from several agencies. The past 10 years has seen the Centre fulfil a key role in the economic regeneration of the area by encouraging a significant number of private and community businesses to locate, expand and then offer employment to residents of Easterhouse.
Property Company reception staff deal with visitors, mail services, photocopying and administration while maintenance staff deal with repairs, contractors, landscaping and conference layouts - all helping to reduce the burden for busy tenants. Security guarding during evenings/weekends, CCTV and alarm systems are reassuring, while ample free car parking, reception seating and a friendly welcome simply complete the package.
Trondra Centre
Formerly a Congregational Church and Hall, this building was acquired in 2001 and converted to form a local base for community organisations with 12 offices and a meeting/training room. Occupation costs are reduced to the minimum by an inclusive rental package. The premises are fully let to Glasgow NE Carers and the Greater Easterhouse Alcohol Awareness Project.
St Benedict’s Community Offices
A £3m conservation and refurbishment of St Benedict’s Church was completed in 2004. Incorporated in the plans for the Category B Listed Building were 2500 sq ft of community offices within the building but with independent access. GEPC were involved with the arrangement of a lease to One Plus Childcare/Community Connections and have recently been awarded a contract to manage the facilities and building systems on behalf of the Diocese of Motherwell.
GERA Shandwick Square Shopping Centre & Garthamlock Offices
GEPC deal with property leasing matters and have assisted with upgrades of both of these local delivery points for a range of GERA's people services.
